SHE was mistakenly introduced as "Jennifer Vaughn" and was spotted
kissing Vince Vaughn backstage, but Jennifer Aniston is still staying
mum about a relationship with her latest co-star.
During Aniston's first trip to Australia to promote her and Vaughn's
film The Break-Up, an "anti-romantic comedy" about the demise of an
affair, the stars have continued a charade about their real-life
relationship.
After being introduced to the audience at the film's Sydney premiere on
Monday night, Aniston and Vaughn were spotted having a quick smooch
backstage.
But yesterday they were back to their public facade of not being
together, holding separate press conferences to promote the film they
met on. And ignoring - on her part - the "Jennifer Vaughn" slip from a
film company representative when introducing the 37-year-old to the
media assembled at the InterContinental Hotel.
Not that they didn't gush about each other. Aniston said Vaughn's
dancing was "one of many" sexy things about him. And Vaughn, who
produced the film and wrote Aniston's character with her in mind, said
of her nude scene: "That was my favourite day of shooting."
Aniston also praised Australian actor Judy Davis, who plays her
domineering boss. "I have been a fan of Judy for years and I had a
moment when she popped into my head," Aniston said of suggesting Davis
for the role.
Aniston, whose ex-husband, Brad Pitt, has just fathered a child with new
partner Angelina Jolie, never mentioned the B-word but said she believed
people could stay friends with former partners. "If you come to proper
closure with someone, I think you can."
