Brad And Angelina Give $1m To Darfur

Celebrity couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have made a $1m donation
to aid groups working in Sudan's war-ravaged region of Darfur.
Actress Jolie has travelled to Sudan and neighbouring Chad three times
to meet refugees who have been forced from their homes by the conflict.
The celebrity couple set up the Jolie-Pitt FoundationShe is also a
Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency and has called for greater
support to help people forced to flee the fighting.
Now her Jolie-Pitt Foundation, which she formed with her actor
boyfriend, has pledged $1m (£505,100) to aid agencies working in the
area.
"This generous donation comes just months after Angelina Jolie made a
personal visit to a refugee camp in Chad," said Michel Gabaudan,a
regional representative for the United Nations High Commissioner for
Refugees
In an
interview with Reader's Digest, Hollywood star Angelina Jolie said that
the persistent gossip about her relationship with Brad Pitt doesn't
bother her.
"Our first question is, what paper is it in? The New York Times? If not,
do we really need to worry?" she said of the reports in celebrity
magazines.
In a revealing interview, she also commented that she would like more
children, both biological and adopted.
She said she was still amazed at how quickly her life had changed over
the last three years, moving from being a single mother of one to part
of a family of six.
She and Pitt have three adopted children - five-year-son Maddox from
Cambodia, two-year-old Zahara from Ethiopia and three-year-old Pax from
Vietnam.
