Britney Spears
The ruling by Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon came Monday after
a full day of closed-door testimony on a bizarre situation this month in
which police had Spears taken to a hospital after a standoff in her home
when she refused to return the children to Federline's bodyguard after a
visit.
The commissioner's written order noted that Federline was among the
day's witnesses.
Gordon scheduled another hearing for Feb. 19.
Spears went to the courthouse briefly during the afternoon but never
went inside, and she left amid a swarm of paparazzi.

Ex-Bodyguard Says Spears Used Drugs Monday, September 24, 2007
NEW YORK — Britney Spears' ex-bodyguard is accusing her of using drugs.
Tony Baretto told NBC's "Today" show that he saw Spears using drugs at a
nightclub twice in the same night soon after she got out of rehab.
He didn't say what kind of drugs she took.
Baretto says he never saw Spears take drugs in front of her kids, but
did see her drink in front of them.
Baretto denies he's out for revenge because he was fired after two
months. He says he's not out "to destroy Britney." He says he's speaking
out "for the kids."

Sept. 20, 2007. Simpson, 60, was released on $125,000 bail Wednesday in
connection with an armed holdup of sports memorabilia collectors in Las
Vegas. (AP Photo/Lynne Sladky)
(AP) Standing in a casino hotel room, a fallen football hero played
out the final scene of a sting operation to seize prized possessions from
his glory days.
But his plan, plotted against the backdrop of a quickie Las Vegas wedding,
was suddenly going bad.
There was a gunman impersonating a police officer. Men were screaming at
each other. And the prized possessions were being stuffed into pillow
cases and cardboard boxes.
In a city where casino heists and celebrity spawn images of Frank
Sinatra's Rat Pack and George Clooney flicks, the caper allegedly
orchestrated by O.J. Simpson has the glint of Sin City's seedy underside -
with shadowy figures and deals gone bad.
Based on a review of police reports and interviews with Simpson, sports
memorabilia dealer Alfred Beardsley, police investigators, prosecutors and
other authorities involved in the case, the day unfolded in the following
manner:
It began with a phone call, police and those involved say, from an
auctioneer with a colorful past, an ex-con known for auctioning Anna
Nicole Smith's diaries.
Thomas Riccio had helped arrange autograph signings for Simpson. And he
knew Simpson believed a former associate had stolen many of his pro
football belongings and personal items, such as family pictures and a suit
Simpson wore the day he was acquitted of murdering his ex-wife, Nicole
Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman.
Sports memorabilia dealers were peddling some of the items, Riccio told
Simpson. He faxed a list of items and offered to help Simpson get them
back.
The timing could not have been better: Simpson was headed to Vegas as best
man at a friend's wedding.
Make the call, Simpson said.
Riccio called Beardsley, an ex-con who by his own account helped Simpson
make money with autograph signings and simultaneously profited off his
infamy.
Beardsley recalled Riccio telling him: "I have a client, a big O.J.
Simpson fan, who wants to buy a lot of Simpson memorabilia." He had no
idea it was Simpson.

"I am trying to be strong right now," said Hilton, posing in a black
strapless dress on the red carpet.
While about 15 photographers, reporters and television crews staked out
the entrances to Los Angeles' Century Regional Detention Facility
waiting for her arrival, Hilton was making the most of her last hours of
freedom with one more party.
Hilton, a hotel heiress, had been ordered to report to jail by today for
violating her probation in an alcohol-related reckless driving case.
She told the media at the MTV awards her family, friends and fans had
helped her prepare for her three-week sentence.
"I've received thousands of letters from around the world of support and
it's really been inspirational and really helped me," she said.
"I'm really scared but I'm ready to do this. And I hope that I'm an
example to other young people."
Inside the awards, Hilton remained in the spotlight, despite not being
up for an award.
Awards host Sarah Silverman cracked a crude joke at her expense to open
the show. When the camera panned to Hilton, she was not smiling.
Admitting she was "scared", socialite Paris Hilton then left Hollywood's
bright lights and traded her designer clothes for an orange jail
jumpsuit last night as she began her 23-day jail term.

NEW YORK: Lindsay Lohan, who was arrested on suspicion of driving under
the influence Saturday in Beverly Hills, California, was photographed
less than 48 hours later slumped in the passenger seat of a car.
Web site X17online.com posted the photos Monday, which it said were
taken early that morning at a gas station after the 20-year-old actress
left the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, California, with a girlfriend.
The photos show Lohan, wearing a gray hooded sweat shirt, with her mouth
open and her eyes shut, apparently asleep. Another photo shows her
kneeling on the ground, her back to the camera, apparently before
getting into the vehicle.
Leslie Sloane Zelnik, Lohan's publicist, did not return repeated phone
calls and e-mail messages from The Associated Press seeking comment.
Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday
after her convertible struck a curb in Beverly Hills, and investigators
found what they believe is cocaine at the scene, police said.
Celeb opens up to SuChin Pak on
MTV Movie Awards red carpet.

Paris Hilton smiled and hugged MTV News' SuChin Pak on the MTV Movie
Awards red carpet, where the most famous party girl in the U.S. made a
surprise appearance Sunday night (June 3), hours before she reported to
Los Angeles County Jail for a 23-day sentence stemming from a probation
violation.
Hilton told Pak that she's "doing OK, I'm obviously a little scared
right now." Speaking in a poised, calm manner, Hilton explained that she
hopes her jail time will inspire other young people to think about their
actions and make good decisions. "These last couple of weeks have been a
lot of time for self-reflection on my life and realizing what's
important."
However, it was a far different scene inside Universal City,
California's Gibson Amphitheatre, where host Sarah Silverman opened up
the show with a few jokes at Hilton's expense, acting as though she
wasn't aware the heiress was indeed in the house.
In one of the most awkward moments in MTV Movie Awards history, five
minutes into her monologue, Silverman said, "In a couple of days, Paris
Hilton is going to jail," a factual statement that was greeted with
cheers. The camera cut to Hilton, who looked a little concerned, but
composed. Silverman continued her bit, implying that Hilton would
receive special treatment.
Inmates say Paris Hilton is in for a stay in
'hell'
The Associated PressPublished: June 4, 2007
LYNWOOD, California: Paris Hilton spent her first night in a Los
Angeles County jail, a place that can only be described as hell,
according to inmates released hours after the heiress went in.
"It's hell. Go to jail and you'll find out," Alicia Singleton, 23,
said Monday as she left the Century Regional Detention Facility in
Lynwood after serving five weeks for a crime she refused to describe.
Hilton worked the red carpet at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday afternoon,
then traded her strapless designer gown for a jail-issue jumpsuit and
a solitary cell.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, which runs the jail, did
not comment Monday, as the media crowd outside the jail grew larger
then over the weekend.
The 26-year-old heiress checked into the jail just after 11:30 p.m.
Sunday to serve 23 days for violating her probation in an
alcohol-related reckless driving case. She is due out on June 26.

Singleton said she and other inmates were asleep when Hilton checked
in.
Around 7 a.m., they learned Hilton was there when they watched the
news. To most of them, it was no big deal. "Oh, Paris, Paris, Paris.
If you do the crime you've got to do the time," Singleton said.
Hilton surrendered after a surprise visit to the MTV awards in the
afternoon.
"I am trying to be strong right now," she told reporters on the red
carpet. "I'm ready to face my sentence. Even though this is a really
hard time, I have my family, my friends and my fans to support me, and
that's really helpful."

Hilton surrendered to sheriff's deputies after making a surprise visit to
the MTV Movie Awards in the afternoon.
Hilton turned herself in at the Men's Central Jail in downtown Los Angeles
just after 10:30 pm, then was escorted to the all women's facility in
Lynwood, where she was booked, fingerprinted and issued a jail uniform,
according to a Sheriff's spokesman.
She also was given her first meal - cereal, bread and juice. Officers
arrested Hilton in Hollywood on September 7.
In January, she pleaded no contest to the reckless-driving charge and was
sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.
She was pulled over by California Highway Patrol on January 15.
Officers informed Hilton that she was driving on a suspended license and
she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive.
She then was pulled over by sheriff's deputies on February 27, at which
time she was charged with violating her probation.
GRRR! Paris Hilton: The Prison
Life; Lindsay Lohan On the Edge
Monday, June 04, 2007
By Mike Straka
And while that tune from the Boomtown Rats is a catchy one, this Monday
brings good news from Hollywood: Paris Hilton is in jail and Lindsay Lohan
is still in rehab.
Does that mean that these Obliviot celebrities will finally straighten out
their lives and become positive role models?
Believe it or not, there's more hope for Hilton to come out of her stint
in jail an older and wiser heiress than for Lindsay to come out of the
Promises Residential Treatment Center clean and sober.
Why? Lohan is addicted to substances, while Hilton is merely addicted to
seeing herself on television, in blogs and in the tabloids.
With no phone, no instant access to media and 23 hours a day in solitary
confinement, Hilton will have no choice but to reflect on her life. She
will also, presumably, meet some real hard-luck cases during her stay in
the clink, and that is where Paris will do most of her growing up.
The Web site TMZ reported Tuesday that the heiress has been crying on the
phone and is not sleeping or eating.
Sources told the Post that Hilton was spared from a body cavity search
upon her arrival at Lynwood.
"Paris didn't have to go through the cavity search. When bent over, she
didn't have to cough," said Saul Reyes, who does maintenance at the
women's jail as part of a work-release program. "She didn't have to spread
'em."
Sources said that the inmate enrollment process that usually takes 24
hours, took Hilton an hour.
"All the inmates waiting to be processed were taken into a temporary
holding cell, and Paris was brought in and booked quickly. The inmates
taunted Paris for getting special treatment," a bail bondsman told the
newspaper.
And, luckily for Hilton, a soda machine was installed in her ward the day
she arrived.
Apparently, someone from the outside tried to cheer Hilton up yesterday.
The Post reported that deputies turned back two deliverymen carrying a
dozen red roses and a fruit basket with apples, oranges and a pineapple
for Hilton.
The care package included a card that said: "I hope you're OK. Call me
when you can. Don't feel bad, remember you're Paris Hilton." It is not
known who sent the package to Hilton.
But on the unlucky side of things, "Inside Edition" reports that the
Lynwood jail is rife with staph infection, with over 402 inmate diagnosed
last year alone.
For every 1,000 inmates that enter Lynwood, 13 will contract some version
of this infection, the news show reported.
